Romney Gets Endorsement from SC Senator DeMint

I'm not sure, but the endorsement from Sen. Jim DeMint (R-SC) reported today may be the first official one for Romney's campaign. The only interesting thing about this is that the other Republican (and senior) senator from SC, Lindsey Graham, is supporting Romney's formidable opponent, John McCain.

Biden announces (unofficially) he is running

After a spirited debate on the Iraq war with Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) on Meet the Press this week, Joe Biden (D-CT) told Tim Russert that he intends to announce the formation of his Presidential exploratory committee by the end of January. This is good news, as it means we will have at least one Democrat who, in general, speaks rather candidly on the serious issues.
