Former VA Gov Gilmore Exploring...

Well, I didn't know who he was until today, but apparently, Jim Gilmore, former Governor of Virginia, thinks the Republican field doesn't have a bona fide Conservative candidate yet, so he's going to set up an exploratory committee. So, my question is does this guy know Sam Brownback is running? If so, are we to believe someone actually wants to position himself to the right of Sam? Now, that's something I gotta see.

Brownie, You're Doing a Heck of a Job!

The junior Senator from Kansas, Sam Brownback (R), is going to make his run for the Presidency official on Jan. 20, when he will also address the themes underlying his bid. Can't you tell by the look on my face how excited I am? If you don't already know him, which means you probably don't live in Kansas, let me just say that his name will almost always be prefixed by the term Conservative, at least, by the pundits. I think I am not going out on a limb when I say it is a safe bet that no other Republican candidate in '08 will be positioned to the Right of Brownie. I'm just waiting for the glorious day when we get a Brownback Mountain moment out of this guy.
