Say It Ain't So - Al Says "No Go"

In the "still leaves the door open for a cat to sneak through" department, Al Gore is saying he doesn't plan to run for president again. We'll see about that. I'm hoping he runs, just to muck up things a little more.

Gore Nominated for Nobel Peace Prize

Yep, that's right. Al Gore, who likes to say he "used to be the next President of the United States," has been nominated for a Nobel Peace Prize for his environmental activism. Sure he wanted to be our President, but isn't this a (really, really) nice consolation prize? Would winning the Prize get Al into the '08 fight? Couldn't hurt.

A Convenient Nomination for Gore

Well, Mr. Gore, I hope you have a nice suit picked out for the Oscars, because your documentary, An Inconvenient Truth, was nominated for two awards: Best Documentary Feature and Best Original Song. Now, this is certainly good publicity. Could we possibly hear an important announcement regarding '08 on Oscar night, Al?
